Utility Bill Splitter & Monthly Budget Planner is a small set of free tools for people who share a home or want a quick monthly check on their spending.
What we make
The bill splitter divides electricity, gas, water, internet and other shared bills between two to eight roommates, either equally or weighted by room size or a custom ratio. It works in cents, so every share adds up to the exact total, and it draws a share image you can post in your household chat.
The budget planner applies the 50/30/20 guideline to your take-home pay, lets you change the ratios and compares the plan with what you spend today.
How we work
Every calculation runs in your browser. Inputs are kept in the current tab and result links, while recent history is saved in browser storage. See our Privacy Policy for storage, sharing and older link details. The guides are written by our editorial team from general household budgeting practice and are reviewed when the tools change. We do not offer financial products and we do not sell personal information.
The site is supported by advertising. Ads are clearly labelled and kept apart from buttons and inputs so they are never mistaken for part of a calculator.
